Welcome Caring Communities Families, Friends, Stakeholders, and Supporters! We are having a FAMILY REUNION!! We invite you to the upcoming Caring Communities 36th Anniversary on May 16-17, 2025, held at the Better Family Life Center, 5415 Page Boulevard. St. Louis, MO The theme for the reunion is “Connecting and Remembering Caring Communities.” In the fashion of a “family reunion,” Caring Communities friends, supporters, community leaders, former staff, state partners are invited to come out and celebrate Caring Communities Program, which was initially funded by the Danforth
Foundation, Missouri Department of Mental Health, Missouri Department of Health, Missouri Departments of Elementary & Secondary Education, and Missouri Department of Social Services. High performance evaluations at Walbridge led to the expansion of the program from one to twenty program sites across the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The keynote speaker for Saturday's event is Dr. Kelvin Adams, former Superintendent of the St. Louis Public Schools. There will be cultural performances by the Young Men of Vision led by Marlon Wharton; witty stories performed by Ojo the Storyteller; spoken word by Cheryl D.S. Walker, soulful spins by DJ Willpower and a few other highlights of the entertainment over the two nights. Testimonials, historic footage, and scrumptious food will compliment the two-day celebration. The ticket price is $75.00 per person for the two-days; it is an adult-centered event.
