The accomplishments of the St. Louis Caring Communities, which began at Walbridge School in 1989, are chronicled in a compendium of written and digital resources, stored at the State Historic Society of Missouri (s0731). The project is titled the Caring Communities Digital Project.
These archival resources are available to scholars, educators, community activists, students and social service practitioners interested in learning more about St. Louis Caring Communities and its comprehensive approach to serving high-risk African American children, families, and neighborhoods. To launch the CCP Digital Project, a 36th commemorative Caring Communities celebration was held on September 6th at Better Family Life, and the CCP Website was launched to celebrate milestones and the spirit, energy, and victories of Caring Communities.
