A snapshot of Caring Communities is conveyed by former Caring Communities staff, community leaders, parents, agency partners and state funders. Caring Communities began as a pilot program which models school-linked, community driven services to students and their families. Caring Communities began at Walbridge Elementary School in 1989; began at Walbridge one site but expanded from 1 to 20 sites across the region.
